Overlap audit (fork, 2026-07-25): superpowers-test-driven-development restates tdd's Iron Law + Red-Green-Refactor + rationalization table almost verbatim, but generic/TS-flavored and unadapted ("your human partner" phrasing — obra's convention, not ours). tdd is Go-specific (table-driven tests, testify, go test -race), brain/session_log-integrated, and matches the actual stack.
Action: delete superpowers-test-driven-development outright. Update SKILLS_INDEX.md (remove row, remove from install.sh targets if listed) and the trigger table in ~/dev/CLAUDE.md if it references the superpowers variant anywhere.
atdd is unaffected — genuinely different altitude (acceptance-level), already cross-refs tdd correctly. No action there.

Deleted in 21dbb35, released as v0.8.5 — CI run #30conclusion: success. 42 skills now.
Checked the "near-verbatim" claim rather than taking it: section for section the two are the same skill — Overview, When to Use, Iron Law, Red-Green-Refactor (same dot graph), Good Tests, Common Rationalizations, Red Flags, Verification Checklist, When Stuck, Final Rule — with TypeScript examples and "your human partner" phrasing. tdd has all of that plus the Go material (table-driven tests, t.Run, testify, go test -race), the brain MCP integration and the Mode 2 routing note.
Its second file testing-anti-patterns.md is byte-identical (diff exit 0) to skills/tdd/references/testing-anti-patterns.md, which tdd already points at. Nothing unique to salvage.
grep -rn found no reference to it anywhere outside its own directory but the index row, removed in the same commit. ~/dev/CLAUDE.md's trigger table names bare tdd, so nothing to update there. atdd untouched.
Two notes:
#19's execution bar (RED-GREEN-REFACTOR against a subagent) does not apply to a deletion — there is no new behaviour to pressure-test, and the acceptance criterion is textual identity, which is checkable directly.
This was bin/check-index's first live catch, an hour after it landed: removing the directory turned task check red with "SKILLS_INDEX.md lists 'superpowers-test-driven-development', which has no skills/.../SKILL.md" before I had touched the row. The reverse-direction assertion earned itself immediately.
